Play a free classic
Voxlight comes with fifteen public-domain books, already in sync. Press play before you import anything.
Steps
- Open Voxlight. On a first launch with an empty library, the public-domain shelf is turned on for you.
- Go to the Library or Books tab and pick a book, for example The Call of the Wild.
- Tap Listen to start the narration.
- Tap Read to open the book. The sentence being read is washed and the current word is marked.
- Change the speed, set a sleep timer or save a Moment from the player.
If it doesn't work

| The shelf is empty. | If your library already had books when you installed Voxlight, the shelf starts off. Turn it on in Settings → Public Domain Library. |
| A classic I deleted didn't come back. | Deleted shelf books stay deleted. Use Restore in Settings → Public Domain Library. |
