Moments are audiomarks: one tap while listening captures the passage around that spot — the audio clip, a transcript made on your device, and an optional note. Only if you turn it on, the place where you captured it too. Capture from the player, the lock-screen widget, or a back-tap Shortcut. Transcripts are editable, so you can fix a mishear before sharing. Find them all in the History tab, grouped by day, with a weekly recap and one-tap replay.

Yes. Moments sync through your personal iCloud account — we never see them. Audio clips transfer over WiFi, so a clip captured on cellular may arrive on your other device a little after its transcript does.

Open karaoke from the player and Voxlight transcribes the narration on your device (using Apple’s Neural Engine — nothing is uploaded), lighting words up as they’re spoken, like live lyrics in a music app. It works with any audiobook. Transcription runs while you watch; longer sessions on battery may pause it to save power.

Books tab → the server button (top left), then sign in with your own Plex account. Voxlight finds your servers automatically — you can connect more than one — and if yours is only reachable at a specific address (a VPN or Tailscale IP, say), you can enter the URL manually. Audiobooks in Plex should live in a music-type library (author as artist, book as album). You can stream directly or download for offline listening. Voxlight only works with your own server and the audiobooks you own.

From a Moment, or in bulk from History, you can export Markdown, JSON, or a Readwise-ready CSV — the files go wherever you send them via the share sheet. Individual Moments also share as audio clips or as cards with their transcript.

No. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Your data lives on your device and, if you use sync, in your personal iCloud. See the privacy policy — it’s short because there’s nothing to disclose.
